A BOTTLES LOVE STORY
Coca-Cola’s first ad made entirely from recycled packaging

Not an easy task.
Delivering a credible response to the justified criticism of Coca-Cola by environmental activists was no small challenge. The goal was to communicate Coca-Cola’s environmental efforts while also encouraging people to do their part and recycle.
Production
We chose to tell a love story between two plastic bottles who keep finding each other over the course of their many lives through recycling. In this stop-motion production, everything was built from recycled Coca-Cola bottles — more than 1,500 in total.
With the help of MovieBrats Studios and the brilliant artist Lacy Bary, the story was lovingly brought to life frame by frame.

The film was picked up by a wide range of media outlets and quickly spread beyond the UK. In total, the “Bottle Love Story” reached 54 million views, increasing awareness that Coke packaging is recyclable by 59%, and boosting recognition of the company’s environmental efforts by an impressive 86%.
